About the role

The Head of Fundraising is responsible for growing the fundraising income in Ireland.  This is an exciting new role that will work closely with the Irish Country Manager and involve scoping out and developing the fundraising strategy for the Irish market. You’ll be responsible for leading a small team in Dublin to create and successfully deliver project plans for each community audience based on data, insights and market knowledge.

 

You’ll develop and implement year-round retention and acquisition strategy for our all-Ireland community, including Movember Business Club and Platinum Club. There will be a strong focus on the Movember campaign and ensuring the year-round engagement and retention of our Mo community.

 

You’ll identify new income streams and take accountability for the financial reporting of current income streams and business case development to unlock new income, including the analysis and development of new income stream strategy specific to Irish market.

 

The role will work flexibly, blending time between home and our Dublin office with occasional travel required.

 

 

You’ll have the opportunity to

  • Support the Country Manager with team strategy and year-round fundraising plan
  • Lead the Irish Fundraising team to build a pipeline of high value prospects across all sectors, using financial modelling and reporting acumen
  • Scope and drives all Ireland fundraising strategy to include Northern Ireland in remit
  • Develop our Ambassador programmes and manage the stewardship of top Fundraisers/Captains/VIPs
  • Manage the Irish Fundraising team (2 x direct reports) and develop strategy for team development over next 3 years
  • Collaborate with the Programs team on Sport strategy including GAA and other sporting organisations
  • Monitor and report business development progress through Salesforce
  • Work with the Head of Fundraising Operations in London, and global teams, to create and deliver a segmented, multi-channel campaign supporter journey
  • Collaborate with other Movember Fundraising teams in the UK, Europe and in our other key markets, as well as with other Movember functions locally and globally

 

For this role, you’ll need

  • 7+ years’ experience in relevant charity roles, ideally in leadership position
  • Proven track record in managing fundraising portfolios and meeting income targets
  • Highly developed organisation skills, the ability to prioritise and manage several projects concurrently and meet deadlines
  • Experience using Salesforce for fundraising and CRM
  • Excellent relationship management skills with proven experience of building and maintaining lasting relationships
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders
  • Experienced and effective communicator with skills in presenting  
  • Team player with highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast paced and growth environment.
  • Flexible to national and global virtual working environments and relationships
  • Ability to travel as necessary including internationally as required
  • Sound understanding of fundraising law and best practice.
