Project Coordinator (Consultant)
Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. In our mission to stop men dying too young, we’re seeking a passionate Project Coordinator to join our Dublin based team for 12 months.
This role would be suitable for a Consultant who is open to committing to between 15-20 hours each week.

The role will work flexibly, blending time between home and our Dublin office with occasional travel required.
About the role:
As Project Coordinator you’ll be responsible for promoting our cancer initiatives, particularly prostate cancer, within Ireland. The role will work with partners and internal Movember teams to successfully deliver on projects and implement marketing and communication strategies to raise awareness, engage the community, and support local and Global programmatic efforts.
You’ll have the opportunity to
- Plan, execute, and monitor projects (particularly marketing and communication tasks) related to our cancer initiatives
- Foster relationships with, briefing and project managing key agency partners such as Public Relations, Media, Creative, Activations, and other third party trusted partners
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including creative and digital teams, to develop engaging content and campaigns. Leverage owned marketing channels such as email and social media to maximise outreach.
- Showcase local Irish cancer initiatives on the global Movember stage to enhance both local and global profiles. Supporting the appropriate Cancer squads to have a clear understanding of deliverables timelines where required.
- Support the establishment and nurturing of partnerships with local healthcare organisations e.g. UCD, Health Service Executive and National Screening Service, people of influence and media to amplify Movember’s cancer messaging.
- Plan and manage year-round communications calendar supporting impact campaigns. Develop compelling and engaging content for various channels including social media, newsletters, and website updates to communicate the impact of our cancer initiatives
- Assist in the development and distribution of press materials, Local and National key spokesperson and lived experience interview pitching and manage relationships with local media to secure coverage for Movember’s cancer initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the performance of campaigns and initiatives, using insights to refine strategies and achieve goals.
- Help to manage the programs marketing and communications budget
- Contributing to identifying project risks and issues.
For this role, you’ll need:
- 3+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, or public relations Experience
- Experience working within the healthcare sector and preferably charity sector
- Proven ability to create and manage digital content with proficiency in using social media platforms and digital marketing tools
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with experience in event planning and coordination
- Passionate about men’s health and cancer awareness
- Creative, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience of managing a range of relationships with a variety of external agencies, media, partners and creative suppliers at the same time
- Experience of budget management processes including setting budgets and day to day budget management
- Understanding of the full marketing mix and practised in measuring media channel effectiveness
- Flexible and comfortable in a rapidly changing working environment
