Project Manager, Esports & Gaming | 12 Month Contract
Annual Salary: £49,000 - £53,000
Men are dying too young – and it doesn’t have to be that way.
Around the world, men are facing a health crisis: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and suicide. At Movember we’re on a mission to change the face of men’s health by making it easier for men to talk, act and live longer healthier lives.

Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You’ll be part of a purpose-fueled crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. Your mission is calling.
DO GOOD. Work for Movember.
Your Mo-Mission (should you choose to accept it):
Esports and gaming are where millions of young men spend their time, build their communities, and, too often, experience isolation, toxicity, and poor mental health.
As Project Manager, Esports and Gaming, you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of Movember's global Esports and Gaming mental health initiative, reporting to the Global Lead, Esports and Gaming, and working closely with the Director, Global Innovations within the Men's Mental Health Research portfolio. The initiative targets young men aged 16 to 25 across the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and Europe, and pursues its goals across four interconnected streams: Partnerships, Guidelines, Community, and Research and Sector.
Your core job is to turn the three-year forward plan into delivered work. That means operationalising agreed strategy and priorities into scheduled, resourced, and tracked delivery, with an immediate focus on committed FY27 activity. You'll coordinate the cross-functional Esports and Gaming squad spanning partnerships, business development, marketing and communications, Social Impact, and product and technology, keeping workstreams aligned and dependencies managed across a globally distributed team.
You'll play a central role in the development and global rollout of the world's first international Mental Health Guidelines for Esports, coordinating partner inputs, piloting, and implementation activity. You'll support the running of the global Community of Practice, manage delivery partners and commissioned providers against agreed KPIs, and work with the Social Impact team to ensure monitoring, evaluation, and learning are embedded throughout.
On the research side, you'll provide project and coordination support across the multi-phase research program, including scheduling, partner liaison, contracting, and ethics and governance submissions, while research design and academic outputs remain led by the Global Lead. You'll also support the Global Lead with initiative budgeting, financial monitoring, and conversations that build co-investment and ecosystem ownership among industry partners.
This is a role for someone who knows the esports and gaming world from the inside, understands why trust and cultural credibility matter when working in a space that is highly sensitive to external entrants, and is driven by the belief that this ecosystem can be made meaningfully safer and healthier for young men.
No Moustache Required - but the following are:
Demonstrated experience delivering projects, programs, or products within esports and gaming, with the ability to navigate the ecosystem's structures, stakeholders, and culture authentically.
At least five years of experience in project management within health, community, sport, or the not-for-profit sector.
A sound understanding of young men's mental health and a genuine passion for improving it through evidence-based programs and partnerships.
Experience in partnership development and stakeholder management, including the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
Experience in contract management and negotiation, supported by strong commercial acumen.
Proven ability to work autonomously and self-direct within a fast-paced, growth-focused, and globally distributed team.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.
Highly developed organisational skills, the ability to prioritise effectively, and strong problem-solving instincts with a high degree of initiative.
Proficiency with project management tools, including Asana.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Flexibility to work across global time zones, including out-of-hours calls, and to travel domestically and internationally as the initiative requires.
Not Mission Critical - but for extra bonus points:
Lived experience as a gamer or member of an esports or gaming community, with established networks among publishers, platforms, or tournament organisers.
Understanding and experience of grant management.
Demonstrated experience managing programs and projects across large geographical areas and multiple markets.

GOOD CAUSE:
Working for Movember, you’ll help turn ideas (and moustaches) into millions for men’s health. Every bit we raise changes the face of men’s health by funding research, improving treatments, and supporting programs that help save lives.
We’re even shaping government policies on men’s health worldwide. By meeting directly with lawmakers, and helping them understand how more investment on men’s health benefits not just men, but all the communities they serve.

GOOD VIBES:
We love weekends. That’s why our Fridays finish early for nine months of the year. But we also love our office vibe. Because here, it always feels like something big is about to happen. Be it an office-wide surprise birthday party (with cake!) or an open invite for all to hit the pub.
Come the hairy season, the energy cranks up. We’re talking celebrity visits. Live stunts on-site for TV and radio. And when we hit a fundraising milestone, the office gong might even go off. But, for those who prefer calm, no probs: hybrid working means you work where you feel best.

GOOD CREW:
Spoiler alert: we’re a no-ego, all-impact crew. That means everyone gets a say, from new starters to those leading the charge. Collaboration over hierarchies, curiosity over rigid process. And it’s true across all our offices worldwide. We work as one, sharing expertise and celebrating wins. All in the name of making the biggest impact across the globe. United, we Mo.
We offer:
Hybrid/Flexible working – we offer our team a split of home and office working
13 weeks paid Parental Leave and 6 weeks annual leave
Health Cash Plan – to support the costs of everyday healthcare needs (dental, optical, wellbeing)
An Employee Assistance Programme offering face to face counselling, plus legal and financial support
A fun stimulating and collaborating culture, with company events
Service awards after 3, 5 and 10 year
Committees to join – Culture team, Equity Diversity & Inclusion
Bike to work scheme
Half day Fridays for 9 months of the year

Being different is how we started. And it’s also helped us raise $1 billion for men’s health. So, we know the power of diverse experiences, skills and perspectives.
