Director of Public Fundraising - UK and Europe (Parental Leave Cover)
Annual Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 | Full Time or Part Time (0.8)
Men are dying too young – and it doesn’t have to be that way.
Around the world, men are facing a health crisis: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and suicide. At Movember we’re on a mission to change the face of men’s health by making it easier for men to talk, act and live longer healthier lives.

Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You’ll be part of a purpose-fueled crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. Your mission is calling.
DO GOOD. Work for Movember.
Your Mo-Mission (should you choose to accept it):
Movember's UK and Europe public fundraising operation is one of the most ambitious in the global movement. Hundreds of thousands of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas, a full calendar of endurance events, deep community partnerships across education, sport and workplace, and a year-round supporter engagement program that keeps people coming back long after November ends. Leading all of it takes someone exceptional.
As Director of Public Fundraising, UK and Europe, you'll own the strategy and delivery for community fundraising, endurance events, and all public fundraising activity across the region. You'll lead the local implementation of the Movember campaign, drive year-round retention and engagement of the Mo Community, and take an active role in shaping the broader UK and Europe Country Strategy. You'll also play a key part in Movember's European growth ambitions, helping to identify and unlock new markets and opportunities across the region.
People leadership is central to this role. You'll lead a team of 12 or more, building capability, setting clear accountabilities, and creating the kind of environment where people are genuinely empowered to take ownership and deliver with excellence. You'll work closely with the UK Country Director and Global Director of Fundraising, contribute to global campaign squads, and collaborate with counterparts across markets to share what works and maximise collective income.
From setting strategy to stewarding high value supporters, from budget oversight to being a public face of Movember at community events, this is a role with real breadth and real impact.
Based in London, 12-month fixed term parental leave cover. We are open to this role being filled on a full-time or 0.8 part-time basis.
No Moustache Required - but the following are:
At least 15 years of experience in relevant fundraising roles, with deep expertise in public fundraising.
Demonstrated experience delivering major fundraising campaigns, preferably including peer-to-peer fundraising.
A proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing successful strategies, with the ability to translate strategy into action on the ground.
Proven success managing fundraising portfolios and consistently meeting income targets.
Strong people leadership skills and experience managing large, high-performing teams.
A sophisticated understanding of how to use data to maximise fundraising outcomes and supporter lifetime value.
Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines without dropping the ball.
An excellent relationship manager, with a proven ability to build and sustain lasting relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
Confident communicating at all levels, from team members to executive leadership to external partners.
Sound knowledge of fundraising law and best practice.
A genuine collaborator who brings people with them and leaves teams better than they found them.

GOOD CAUSE:
Working for Movember, you’ll help turn ideas (and moustaches) into millions for men’s health. Every bit we raise changes the face of men’s health by funding research, improving treatments, and supporting programs that help save lives.
We’re even shaping government policies on men’s health worldwide. By meeting directly with lawmakers, and helping them understand how more investment on men’s health benefits not just men, but all the communities they serve.

GOOD VIBES:
We love weekends. That’s why our Fridays finish early for nine months of the year. But we also love our office vibe. Because here, it always feels like something big is about to happen. Be it an office-wide surprise birthday party (with cake!) or an open invite for all to hit the pub.
Come the hairy season, the energy cranks up. We’re talking celebrity visits. Live stunts on-site for TV and radio. And when we hit a fundraising milestone, the office gong might even go off. But, for those who prefer calm, no probs: hybrid working means you work where you feel best.

GOOD CREW:
Spoiler alert: we’re a no-ego, all-impact crew. That means everyone gets a say, from new starters to those leading the charge. Collaboration over hierarchies, curiosity over rigid process. And it’s true across all our offices worldwide. We work as one, sharing expertise and celebrating wins. All in the name of making the biggest impact across the globe. United, we Mo.
We offer:
Hybrid/Flexible working – we offer our team a split of home and office working
13 weeks paid Parental Leave and 6 weeks annual leave
Health Cash Plan – to support the costs of everyday healthcare needs (dental, optical, wellbeing)
An Employee Assistance Programme offering face to face counselling, plus legal and financial support
A fun stimulating and collaborating culture, with company events
Service awards after 3, 5 and 10 year
Committees to join – Culture team, Equity Diversity & Inclusion
Bike to work scheme
Half day Fridays for 9 months of the year
