The Programs Manager, Men’s Health Promotion (Young Men) (this role) is responsible for managing Movember’s men’s health promotion programme across markets, with a focus on young men as the target audience.
Young men can experience distress and marginalisation because of stresses they experience during adolescence, leading to increased risk of poor mental. This initiative will harness the power of media, partners and talent online to go where men are, and engage them with health content that improve men’s ability to navigate life challenges, and live longer, healthier lives.
This role will be responsible for the development, design and delivery of our global young men’s health promotion programme. This role will work closely with and coordinate the different internal Movember functions who sit across the globe, including Research, Marketing and Communications, Partnerships, Advocacy and Measurement, Evaluation and Learning (MEL). The Manager reports to the Director, Global Men’s Health Promotion Initiative and will line-manage the project coordinator who is part of the team (based in UK).
Over time, the role will also contribute to building Movember’s approach to health promotion, ensuring that Movember has a consistent approach across markets and related portfolios. This role will also ensure that lived experience is at the centre of all young men’s health promotion activities.
This role forms part of the Men’s Health (Community & Online) portfolio which exists within the Movember Institute.
For this role, you’ll need:
- 5-7 years+ experience of leading creative marketing and media campaigns and initiatives (ideally health related) that are executed on social media channels
- Knowledge of using communications and media to achieve health behaviour change and designing interventions using behaviour change techniques (inc. the COM-B method)
- Experience of leading and building strong working relationships with a variety of external partners at the same time (e.g. creative, research, evaluation, media)
- Fluency in working with evidence data and social research to inform program or campaign design

- High degree of self-motivation and initiative
- Happy working occasional evenings and attending global calls (i.e. early morning or late evening, when required)
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
Desirable:
- Experience designing and managing health or social policy programs or campaigns in a global, matrixed organisation or context
- Experience working directly alongside content creators and talent managers
- Experience of developing health campaigns, working with subject-matter-experts (ideally with a focus on engaging men)
- Experience working with or delivering initiatives to youth audiences

GOOD CAUSE:
Working for Movember, you’ll help raise millions for men’s health (not for a CEO’s bonus). And all those dollars do a whole lotta good. We’ve funded cancer research. Created lifesaving medicines. And helped make cancer treatments less “one-size-fits-all”, and more specific to each patient’s needs.
We’re even calling for governments worldwide to get it together on men’s health. By meeting directly with policymakers so they change the systems that change men’s health.

GOOD VIBES:
The vibes aren’t just for Fridays – even though we start weekends early nine months of the year. Here, it always feels like something big’s about to happen. Be it an office-wide surprise birthday party (with cake!) or an impromptu all-staff boogie.
Come the hairy season, the energy gets silly. We’re talking celebrity visits. Live stunts on-site for TV and radio. And when we hit a fundraising milestone, the office gong might even go off. And that means one thing: it’s conga time.

GOOD CREW:
Let’s just get this out of the way: big egos need not apply. We’re all about straight-up solid human beings out to do meaningful work. People who’ll help you reach career-best moments. And give you the freedom to get there the best way you see fit.
Hybrid remote working is the norm. And in the office, you can sit where you please. Who knows? On any given day you could even end up desk buddies with the man who started this all.
We offer:
- Hybrid/Flexible working – we offer our team a split of home and office working
- 13 weeks paid Parental Leave and 6 weeks annual leave
- Health Cash Plan – to support the costs of everyday healthcare needs (dental, optical, wellbeing)
- An Employee Assistance Programme offering face to face counselling, plus legal and financial support
- A fun stimulating and collaborating culture, with company events
- Service awards after 3, 5 and 10 years
- Committees to join – Culture team, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Movember book group
- Bike to work scheme
- Half day Fridays for 9 months of the year

Boy, do we know the feeling of being judged. (Over how we look, and other things that shouldn’t matter.) Being different is how we started. And it’s also helped us raise $1 billion for men’s health. So, we know the power of diverse experiences, skills and perspectives.
Movember is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community and workplace - a place where we can all be ourselves, and each have the equal opportunity to succeed and be recognised for our unique contribution. We value the experiences, skills and perspectives of all individuals and actively encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds. We make recruitment decisions based on applicants’ skills, experience and knowledge, ensuring all applicants are treated fairly.
Do you want to DO GOOD?
If so, we’d love to hear from you.
