About the role

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will deliver value adding solutions across a range of HR areas including: organisational change, learning and development, employee engagement, employee relations, staff development, talent management, diversity, equity and inclusion and strategic workforce planning.

Over the next three to five years Movember will undertake a deliberate shift towards becoming an impact-led organisation. This will be a significant undertaking and cultural evolution. You will play a critical role in enabling this evolution through co-designing the future organisation and the building of new capacities required for Movember to deliver, adapt and grow.

This role has become vacant due to a promotion of the previous incumbent. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Richmond office.


You’ll have the opportunity to

  • Develop and deliver an operational people plan that delivers innovative people solutions and best practice HR activities
  • Build key measures of success and track progress against desired outcomes and adjusts solutions as required in response to business needs
  • Influence and build relationships with the executive team and people managers to position the people function as a trusted advisor to the business
  • Provide HR support at both a strategic and operational level as required
  • Coach and support managers to build their capability across a range of HR related knowledge and skills to enable them to support their people; this will include change, performance management and development, effective feedback and conversations and policy and process interpretation
  • Develop and champion key strategic people and organisational development priorities (including the diversity, equity and inclusion objectives, culture and engagement, values refresh, capability framework) with the business to ensure commitments are embedded in business activities
  • Develop and provide regular reporting and analysis to identify trends and insights that support effective HR related decision making and make recommendations for improvements


For this role, you’ll need

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Law, Business, Psychology etc.
  • 8+ years experience in similar roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in organisational change and development, design, and DE&I
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a local team and a larger global team, whilst also working independently when required
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence all levels of the organisation to reach mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Well-developed organisational change and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and ‘think on feet’
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations in an efficient and calm manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively manage role boundaries
  • Self-starter/high level of internal motivation and tenacity to work through issues and generate commercial outcomes
  • Proficient use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with demonstrated ability and openness to learn other digital skills
  • Pragmatic commercial approach to applying HR theory and concepts  to business challenges

Bonus points for

  • Experience in the NFP sector
  • AHRI Certification
  • Organisational Psychology registration
