Director, Young Men's Health - USA
Annual Salary: US$135,000

We are seeking a Director, Young Men's Health - USA to join our Los Angeles team.
The role of Director, Young Men’s Health - USA is responsible for providing strategic oversight and stewardship of all Young Men’s Health portfolio (the portfolio) initiatives in the USA. This includes across the portfolio, as well as supporting other parts of the organization that intersect with young men’s health in market (such as partnering with teams leading in-market advocacy, research, partnerships and/or social impact campaigns). This role is expected to support the Global Director, Young Men’s Health, in achieving the goals of the One Movember Strategy, including specifically but not exclusively, Goal 4: Improve Young Men’s Mental Health.
You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of community-based activities within the Young Men’s Mental Health portfolio for the USA.
You will lead Young Men's Health initiatives in the market with external partners, aligning with global and market Implementation Plans.
Some of the key initiative areas of the portfolio include sports impact partnerships, initiatives tackling unhealthy masculine norms, improving mental health literacy, and developing research, evidence, and policy positions for Young Men’s Health in the USA.
For this role, you’ll need:
- Significant experience in the mental health sector, preferably relating to young men and/or youth.
- Experience in one or more of these key areas: sports health initiatives, men’s mental health literacy, esports/gaming, masculinity, research, evidence-based practice and policy development.
- Proven ability to influence effectively in cross functional matrix-style organizations
- Experience translating strategy into action; proven track record in implementation of a portfolio of impact initiatives.
- Proven ability to achieve impact through collaboration across the sector.
- Experience in commissioning and contract management of programs, services or research with external providers.
- A change agent mindset; comfortable with thinking outside the square, disrupting and challenging norms and traditional approaches at pace.
Bonus points for:
- Tertiary qualifications in mental health, youth, public health, psychology, gender studies, or related discipline.

GOOD CAUSE:
Working for Movember, you’ll help raise millions for men’s health (not for a CEO’s bonus). And all those dollars do a whole lotta good. We’ve funded cancer research. Created lifesaving medicines. And helped make cancer treatments less “one-size-fits-all”, and more specific to each patient’s needs.
We’re even calling for governments worldwide to get it together on men’s health. By meeting directly with policymakers so they change the systems that change men’s health.

GOOD VIBES:
The vibes aren’t just for Fridays – even though we start weekends early nine months of the year. Here, it always feels like something big’s about to happen. Be it an office-wide surprise birthday party (with cake!) or an impromptu all-staff boogie.
Come the hairy season, the energy gets silly. We’re talking celebrity visits. Live stunts on-site for TV and radio. And when we hit a fundraising milestone, the office gong might even go off. And that means one thing: it’s conga time.

GOOD CREW:
Let’s just get this out of the way: big egos need not apply. We’re all about straight-up solid human beings out to do meaningful work. People who’ll help you reach career-best moments. And give you the freedom to get there the best way you see fit.
Hybrid remote working is the norm. And in the office, you can sit where you please. Who knows? On any given day you could even end up desk buddies with the man who started this all.
We offer:
- Health insurance, vision, dental benefits and 401k
- Free Headspace subscription and Employee Assistance Program
- 20 vacation days per year
- Relaxed dress code
- Fun and collaborative culture
- Free breakfast & coffee bar

Boy, do we know the feeling of being judged. (Over how we look, and other things that shouldn’t matter.) Being different is how we started. And it’s also helped us raise $1 billion for men’s health. So, we know the power of diverse experiences, skills and perspectives.
If you’ve got the relevant skills and the right attitude, let nothing stand in your way of firing off your application.
Do you want to DO GOOD?
If so, we’d love to hear from you.
